With the mid length action market on the rise, I decided to design a case which is destined to become top dog and called it the MEGA! Think of it as a long WSM that has been “Shermanized” with the efficient, low body taper, 40 degree shoulder, long neck design that leads the industry. Offerings will be available in 7mm, 300, and 338 bore sizes.
PERFORMANCE
This case will rival much larger cases and do it in an under 3.2” COAL (3.3” Free Bore option for longer actions).
Approximate maximum performance will be as follows:
7mm @ 3200’/180s and 3100’/195s
300 @ 3075’/215s
338 @ 2950/250s
BRASS
Top quality ADG head stamped brass will be available in 7mm and 300 head stamps. All brass will come with a 300 neck and require fire forming to a 40 degree shoulder from 35.
DIES
Hornady custom Match bushing die sets will be available as well as a top quality pr- pay option from Bullet Central (Micron)
I expect the 7mm and 300 versions to become top contenders in F class, 1000 yard, and some ELR competitions, as well as very potent hunting options. The 338 version will offer compact bear stopping performance normally only found in long action magnums using much more powder.
