Long action magnums traditionally mean excessive powder charges, heavy recoil, and short barrel life. Factory cartridges like the 300 Win Mag work, but their shallow shoulders and excessive taper waste case capacity and limit how hard you can push heavy bullets before you’re fighting pressure.
Sherman Magnum brass is built on the 300 PRC parent case and Shermanized with minimal body taper and a 40-degree shoulder. Top-quality ADG head-stamped brass in 300 SM, with no-turn necks and proper headspacing right out of the box. The shoulder needs to be blown out to 40 degrees, so reduce loads 8-10% for initial firing. Fully-formed brass is planned for future production.
The efficient case geometry means you’re getting magnum performance without magnum waste. Better brass life when running at max pressure. Less powder burned per shot. More consistent velocity across a wider range of conditions. Dies, reamers, and load data are part of the Sherman matched system, so you’re not adapting components or guessing at specs.
The result is a long action magnum that delivers the velocity you need for long-range work without the compromises that make traditional magnums harder to shoot well or expensive to feed.
Note: Brass ships with 35-degree shoulder and requires fire-forming to 40 degrees. Reduce loads 8-10% for initial firing.
