Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Sherman Wildcat Cartridges (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates shermanwildcatcartridges.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
We are based in Buffalo, Texas. Orders placed through this website ship within the United States. International orders are arranged with us directly rather than through our online checkout.
Information we collect
When you place an order. Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the items you buy. We also record the IP address and browser your order came from, which we use to detect fraud.
When you create an account. Your name, email address, and password. Your password is stored encrypted and cannot be read by us or anyone else.
When you contact us. Whatever you choose to send us through our contact form or by email or phone, including your name, email address, and the content of your message.
When you simply browse. Standard technical information that every website receives: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you.
Payment information
We do not see or store your full card number. When you pay, your card details are transmitted directly to our payment processor, which is responsible for handling and securing them.
What we retain is limited to the last four digits of the card, the card type, the expiry date, and a transaction reference. That is enough for us to identify a payment, issue a refund, or help you with an order. It is not enough for anyone to make a charge.
If you choose to save a card for future purchases, it is stored by Intuit as a secure token. We hold only the reference to that token, never the card itself.
How we use your information
- To process, fulfill, and ship your orders
- To send order confirmations, shipping notices, and receipts
- To answer your questions and provide support
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse of our checkout
- To keep accurate business and tax records, as required by law
- To understand how our site is used so we can improve it
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or list buyers.
Who we share information with
- Our payment processor handles card payments.
- Our accounting software holds our accounting and order records.
- Our shipping and fulfillment provider generates shipping labels and tracking, and receives your shipping address.
- Our email delivery provider sends our order confirmations and account emails.
- Our website security and performance provider sits in front of our website to keep it fast and to block automated attacks. It processes IP addresses and request data for security purposes.
- Our website analytics providers tell us how our site is used and how people find it, in aggregate.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our customers, or public safety.
Cookies and analytics
Our site uses cookies. Some are strictly necessary, such as the ones that remember what is in your cart and keep you logged in. Without those the store cannot function.
We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how visitors find and use the site. This tells us things like which products get viewed most and where our visitors come from. It does not tell us who you are.
Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our checkout to tell real customers apart from automated scripts. It is designed to work without tracking you across websites and without traditional cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, the cart and checkout will stop working.
How long we keep your information
Order and transaction records are kept for as long as we are required to keep business and tax records, which is generally seven years.
Account information is kept while your account is open. Contact form messages are kept while they are useful for supporting you. Website analytics are kept in aggregate and are not tied to you personally.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your account and personal information
- Stop sending you marketing email, which you can also do using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message
Email us at the address below and we will respond. There is no charge, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
One limit worth stating plainly: we cannot delete records we are legally required to keep, such as completed sales and their tax records. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove what we can and keep only what the law requires.
If you are in Texas, California, or another state with a privacy law, the rights above are available to you regardless of where you live. We apply them to everyone rather than only where required.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, whether you are browsing our site, contacting us, or arranging an order with us directly, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, the right to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. Where we process your information it is because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to meet a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interest in running and securing the business.
Security
Our site is encrypted end to end with HTTPS. Card data never touches our servers. Access to order and customer records is limited to the people who need it to run the business, and our checkout is protected against automated attacks.
No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will tell you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Children
Our products are not sold to children and our site is not directed at them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Ammunition and reloading components are age-restricted. By ordering you confirm you are of legal age to purchase them where you live, and that doing so is lawful in your jurisdiction.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies before giving them your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will make that clear rather than expecting you to notice.
