Factory short action cartridges like the SAUM and WSM deliver good performance, but their case geometry leaves velocity and brass life on the table. Shallow shoulders and excessive body taper mean more case stretch, shorter brass life, and wasted case capacity that could be putting more powder behind the bullet.
Sherman Short brass is built on the SAUM parent case with minimal body taper, 40-degree shoulders, and a longer neck for better bullet support. Top-quality ADG head-stamped brass now available fully-formed with 40-degree shoulders in 6.5mm, 7mm, .300, and .338. Some neck sizing may still be required depending on your specific caliber and chamber.
The SS series delivers more usable case capacity, better burn efficiency, and longer brass life when running at max pressure. Part of the Sherman matched system with dies, reamers, and gauges designed to work together, eliminating the guesswork and component hunting that comes with wildcats built on adapted brass.
The result is a short action cartridge that performs at the top of what the platform is capable of, with brass that holds up under hard use and components that are actually available when you need them.
