High-performance wildcats with aggressive shoulder angles deliver impressive velocity, but competitive shooters and high-volume precision shooters need brass that lasts through hundreds of firings without losing primer pockets or requiring constant annealing. Steep shoulders and max-pressure loads eventually take their toll.
Sherman Short Tactical brass splits the difference with a 30-degree shoulder that extends brass life while still delivering efficient case geometry and strong performance. Built on the SAUM parent case with top-quality ADG construction. Now available fully-formed with 30-degree shoulders in 25 SST and 6.5 SST, with proper neck sizing (6.5mm neck standard).
The SST series is purpose-built for cartridges like the 25 SST running the Blackjack 131gr Ace match bullet, where barrel life, brass longevity, and shot-to-shot consistency matter more than chasing maximum velocity. Part of the Sherman matched system with dies, reamers, and load data designed to work together.
The result is a cartridge that balances serious performance with the brass life and consistency that competitive shooting and high-volume precision work demand, without sacrificing the efficiency that makes Sherman wildcats worth building.
Caution: Firing full-pressure loads on virgin brass may shorten primer pocket life prematurely. Fire-forming sale brass available at discount.
Note: Fully-formed 30-degree brass now available. Some neck sizing may still be required.
